As early as the reign of Louis XIV, they graced the most prestigious tables at Versailles. At Lilamand, we continue this gourmet tradition by treating each chestnut with the same artisanal care that we have devoted to our candied fruits since 1866.<\/p>\n<p>Each chestnut is selected for its size, firmness, and the fineness of its flesh. Next comes the candying process, a delicate operation carried out patiently over several weeks. Successive batches of vanilla-flavoured syrup slowly penetrate the chestnut, replacing its water and gradually transforming it. This slow transformation preserves the confectionery&#8217;s melt-in-the-mouth texture and its subtle, sweet and woody taste, which makes it so special. A final glaze gives each piece its shiny appearance and smooth texture.<\/p>\n<p>Individually wrapped in gold foil, our marrons glac\u00e9s are presented in elegant gift boxes of 9 or 16 pieces, or in a refined crystal box of 32 pieces.
